For the 2022/23 year, emissions from energy use and agricultural practices made up most of the emissions in Albany, as measured in 'tonnes of CO₂ equivalent' gases (t CO₂e).

The City of Albany is participating in the Switch Your Thinking program.
Switch Your Thinking and the WA Government have teamed up with Local Governments to support local businesses and households to reduce their energy and act on climate change.
As part of the program, the City is offering a Home Audit Kit to help assess water and energy efficiency in homes. Available for loan for free from the City of Albany Public Library. Read more about the Home Energy Audit kit here.
A range of free, online workshops are available for residents and businesses.
