  Install Water Tanks at Mercer Road Depot

  • Funding grant application successful through the Community Water Supplies Partnership Program (CWSP).
  • City awarded $73,302 for two 250-kilolitre water tanks to support firefighting and irrigations at the Mercer Rd depot. The City will provide a 30% co-contribution.
  • Jointly funded by Australian and WA Governments and delivered by DWER’s Rural Water Planning Team.
  • Helps rural communities build climate resilience by improving local water infrastructure.

  Install water tanks at Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre

  The City was a successful grant recipient of the DWER Community Water Supply Program (2021)

  2 x 235,000L tanks have been installed onsite at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre (ALAC), with the plumbing works completed in November 2022. The water will be used to irrigate the adjacent Hockey Grounds and ALAC grounds.
